Saturday's Long Run

Woooo hoooo, I did 8 miles today, that's the longest I've ever run IN MY LIFE! I am super excited, this was a major "mental" thing, I feel like I've broken a little "barrier"!
Also today was my first time running with the Garmin, that thing is the best invention ever! It helped so much to keep me on pace, now I can see that before what I was doing was running too fast and then losing steam.
Right now I'd like to take a nap, but I've got a bunch of work to do...so, off to work for now!

So glad you liked running with the Garmin! Last year was the first year I began to run more than 5 miles in one shot. It is such a great feeling when you ht a new distance. In a few months when you look back you will be so proud of yourself and amazed at how far you have come! Great job!

Congrats on breaking through the barrier. While it may be hard to keep focused on the distance, once you have reached a milestone distance, it is much easier to go on to the next. You're doing great. Keep it up.
